Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is a private members' club based in St John's Wood, London. It was founded in 1787, and is the world's oldest and most prestigious cricket club. MCC is responsible for the laws of cricket, and is the governing body of Test cricket. It also owns Lord's Cricket Ground, which is the home of Test cricket in England. John Martin played first-class cricket for MCC in 1871.
