Answer
After graduating from Northwestern University School of Law, John Paul Stevens clerked for Justice Wiley Rutledge of the Supreme Court of the United States. This experience would prove to be invaluable to Stevens, as he learned a great deal about the inner workings of the Court and the legal process. Stevens would later go on to serve on the Court himself, from 1975 to 2010.
