John Romero was born on October 28, 1967. He is an American video game designer and programmer, best known for his work on the Doom and Quake series. Romero co-founded id Software in 1991 with John Carmack, Tom Hall, and Adrian Carmack. He left id Software in 1996 to co-found Ion Storm with Tom Hall.
