John Sebastian had one other No. 1 hit, "Welcome Back", in 1976. This was his only solo No. 1 hit, although he had previously been in the Lovin' Spoonful, who had two No. 1 hits in 1966. "Welcome Back" was written by Sebastian and Mark Sebastian, his brother. It was Theme song for the TV show Welcome Back, Kotter.
