Born in 1820, John Tenniel gained prominence as an English political cartoonist, best known for his illustrations in the magazine Punch. Throughout his illustrious career, he created over 2,500 political cartoons and also contributed to the literary world with his remarkable illustrations for Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" in 1865.
