Johnny Unitas was an American football quarterback who played 18 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Baltimore Colts and San Diego Chargers. He was nicknamed "Johnny U" and "Golden Arm" for his accurate passing. Unitas led the Colts to three NFL championships and five NFL championship games, and was named NFL MVP three times. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979.
