Jörg Haider was born in Bad Goisern on January 26, 1950. He was an Austrian politician who was the leader of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) from 1986 to 2000 and again from 2005 to 2008. He was also the Governor of Carinthia from 1999 to 2008. Haider was a controversial figure who was known for his nationalist and anti-immigration views.
