Joseph Priestley and Mary Wilkinson were married in Bristol in 1761. They had three children together, two sons and a daughter. Priestley was a scientist and inventor, and Mary was a housewife and mother. They were both active in the Unitarian church, and Priestley was a leading figure in the movement.
