Spanish poet Juan Ramón Jiménez was born in Moguer, Spain, in 1881. He is considered one of the most important figures of the 20th-century Spanish literature, and his work has been translated into more than 30 languages. Jiménez was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1956 for his "lyrical and dramatic work, in which the spiritual and the sensual are combined in a unique and personal way."
