Judith Anderson won one Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for her performance in "A Streetcar Named Desire" in 1947. She was nominated for the award five times, also for "The Mother of Us All" (1947), "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" (1955), "The Glass Menagerie" (1957), and "Inherit the Wind" (1959).
