Justin the Philosopher, also known as Justin Martyr, was an early Christian apologist and philosopher. He is venerated as a saint in the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches. Justin was born in Flavia Neapolis, in the Roman province of Syria Palaestina, around 100 AD. He was a prolific writer, and his works include the two "Apologies", the "Dialogue with Trypho", and the "Discourse to the Greeks".
