K. K. Downing was born on October 27th, 1951 in West Bromwich, England. He is a musician who is best known as the lead guitarist for the heavy metal band Judas Priest. Downing was a founding member of the band in 1969 and remained with them until his departure in 2011. He has since been replaced by Richie Faulkner.
