Kaetlyn Osmond reclaimed her Canadian title in 2017 after struggling with injury. She was diagnosed with a stress fracture in her left fibula in the summer of 2016, which forced her to miss the Grand Prix season. She returned to competition in January 2017 and won the Canadian national title. She went on to represent Canada at the 2017 World Championships, where she finished in fourth place.
