Karl Wendlinger was born on 20 July 1968 in Schruns, Austria. He is a former Formula One driver who raced for Sauber, Williams, and Prost between 1991 and 1999. He won the Austrian Grand Prix in 1994 and finished third in the Drivers' Championship that year. Wendlinger retired from Formula One after a serious crash at the 1999 Austrian Grand Prix.
