Answer
Dalton McGuinty was the premier of Ontario from 2003 to 2013. He led the province through the 2008 global financial crisis and oversaw the implementation of several major public policy initiatives, including the introduction of full-day kindergarten and the cancellation of two natural gas-fired power plants. McGuinty resigned as premier in 2013 and was succeeded by Kathleen Wynne.
