Benazir Bhutto was the second female Prime Minister in the Muslim world. She was the first female Prime Minister of Pakistan, and served two non-consecutive terms in office from 1988 to 1990 and 1993 to 1996. She was also the leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Bhutto was assassinated in 2007.
