Kim Yong-sik was born in 1910. He was a North Korean politician who served as the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the highest legislative body in North Korea, from 1998 until his death in 2016. He was also a member of the Presidium of the Politburo of the Workers' Party of Korea, the highest decision-making body in the country.
