Kid Williams was born on December 1, 1893 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a professional boxer who competed from 1911 to 1928. He held the world lightweight championship from 1916 to 1917 and the world welterweight championship from 1922 to 1923. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1992.
