Kōji Nakata, a Japanese professional baseball pitcher, retired in 2014. He played for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp and the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). Nakata was a two-time NPB All-Star and won the Pacific League Rookie of the Year Award in 2004. He finished his career with a 128-105 win-loss record and a 3.80 earned run average.
