Answer
The Sudetendeutsches Freikorps was a paramilitary organization of German nationalists. It was formed in 1919 by World War I veterans who wanted to defend the Sudetenland, a region of Czechoslovakia with a large German population, from being annexed by the newly formed Czechoslovak state. The Freikorps was involved in a number of violent clashes with the Czechoslovak authorities, and its activities contributed to the rise of Nazi Germany.
