Kris Boyd scored seven goals for the senior Scottish national side. He made his debut in 2003 and scored his first goal in a 3–1 win over Estonia. He went on to score a total of seven goals in 26 appearances for Scotland, including a goal in a 3–0 win over Croatia in the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign. He retired from international football in 2014.
