The first incompleteness theorem deals with what kind of system?

  • Physical system

  • Biological system

  • Axiomatic system

  • Cosmic system

Answer

An axiomatic system is a set of axioms that are assumed to be true and from which other statements can be derived. Gödel's first incompleteness theorem states that no consistent axiomatic system capable of modelling basic arithmetic is capable of proving all truths about the natural numbers. In other words, there will always be statements about the natural numbers that are true but cannot be proven within the system.
