Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) was a major Hollywood studio that Lana Turner was a major star of. She was discovered by MGM talent scouts in 1935 and signed to a contract with the studio. She made her film debut in 1937 and went on to star in a number of successful films, including "Ziegfeld Girl" (1941), "The Postman Always Rings Twice" (1946), and "Peyton Place" (1957).
