Laura Muir set a unique record at the 2019 European Indoor Championships in Glasgow by winning both the 1500 metres and 3000 metres. She is the first woman to achieve this double-double at the European Indoor Championships, and only the second woman to achieve this double-double in any major athletics championships, after Marita Koch of East Germany in 1979.
