Answer
Mad Season was a supergroup formed in 1994 by Layne Staley, lead singer of Alice in Chains. The band also included Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, Barrett Martin of Screaming Trees, and John Baker Saunders. Mad Season released one album, "Above," in 1995, which featured the hit single "River of Deceit." The band disbanded in 1999 following Staley's death from a drug overdose.
