The Xá Lợi Pagoda Raid, also known as the Xá Lợi Pagoda Incident, was a series of raids by South Vietnamese security forces on Buddhist pagodas and temples in South Vietnam on 21 August 1963. The raids were ordered by Ngô Đình Diệm, the President of South Vietnam, in response to the growing influence of Buddhism in the country.
