Lee Trevino was ranked as the number one golfer in the world for a total of 12 weeks in 1971 and 1972. He was also the first golfer to win the US Open, the Masters, and the PGA Championship in the same year, in 1971. Trevino was known for his aggressive playing style and his colorful personality. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1981.
