Belgian. A notable figure in Belgian politics during World War II, Degrelle rose to prominence as the leader of the Rexist Party, a fascist and collaborationist movement. Known for his charismatic personality and strong anti-communist and anti-Semitic views, he actively supported Nazi Germany and its occupation of Belgium. After the war, Degrelle fled to Spain where he remained in exile until his death in 1994.
