Licinius was an emperor of the Roman Empire. He was the junior partner in a joint rule with Constantine I, who was the senior partner. Licinius ruled the eastern half of the empire, while Constantine ruled the western half. Licinius was defeated by Constantine in 324 and was executed in 325.
