What do olfactory receptors relate to in the human body?

  • Hearing

  • Sight

  • Smell

  • Touch

Answer

Smell is a sense that allows us to perceive the chemical composition of the air around us. Olfactory receptors are the cells in the nose that detect these chemicals. When an odor molecule enters the nose, it binds to an olfactory receptor, which then sends a signal to the brain. The brain interprets this signal as a smell.
