Lou Holtz was born on January 6, 1937, in Follansbee, West Virginia. He is an American college football coach and sportscaster. He is best known for his long tenure as head coach of Notre Dame from 1986 to 1996. He is also the former head coach of Arkansas, South Carolina, and William & Mary. He is currently a college football analyst for ESPN.
