Louis I launched two campaigns to the Kingdom of Naples, both of which were unsuccessful. The first campaign took place in 1406 and was led by Louis' son, Prince Charles of Anjou. The second campaign took place in 1419 and was led by Louis himself. Both campaigns were defeated by the Neapolitan army, and Louis was forced to abandon his claim to the throne of Naples.
