After occupying large territories of the Kingdom of Naples, Louis adopted the title of King of Sicily and Jerusalem, although he did not have any direct control over Jerusalem. This title was used by the rulers of Naples and Sicily until the Kingdom of Two Sicilies was dissolved in 1861.
