Brothers Louis and Rudolph were both sons of Albert I, a Habsburg count, and Hedwige of Kyburg. Louis, was later elected as Louis IV and eventually crowned King of Germany in 1314. On the other hand, his brother Rudolph would go on to become Rudolph I, Duke of Austria and Styria. Throughout their lifetime, they maintained close ties and collaborated in expanding and strengthening the Habsburg dynasty's influence in Europe.
