Louis Charles was the name of the young son of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. He was born in 1785 and was known as the Dauphin of France. After the French Revolution, Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were executed and Louis Charles was imprisoned in the Temple Prison in Paris. He died there in 1795, at the age of ten, and is believed to have been murdered.
