Louis XVIII was a French king who ruled during the Bourbon Restoration from 1814 until his death in 1824. He was the brother of Louis XVI, who was executed during the French Revolution. Louis XVIII spent much of his life in exile, first in Italy and then in England. However, he did not live in exile in Spain.
