Lucas Papademos was Greece's Prime Minister for six months, from November 2011 to May 2012. He was appointed by the country's president, Karolos Papoulias, to lead a unity government that would implement the terms of a bailout agreement with the European Union and the International Monetary Fund. Papademos was a former central banker and economics professor who had previously served as Greece's finance minister.
