Lucrezia Borgia was born in Valencia in 1480. She was the daughter of Rodrigo Borgia, who was elected Pope Alexander VI in 1492, and his mistress Vannozza dei Cattanei. Lucrezia was a very beautiful woman and was considered one of the most eligible women in Europe. She was married four times, and her marriages were often used to further the political ambitions of her father and brothers.
