M. V. Narasimha Rao played cricket for India at the international level. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He made his debut for India in 1958 against Pakistan and played a total of 26 Test matches and 36 One Day Internationals. He was the captain of the Indian cricket team from 1970 to 1971. He is the only Indian prime minister to have played international cricket.
