King Mahendra Bir Vikram Shah (11 January 1920 – 31 January 1972) was the second King of Nepal from 1955 to 1972. He was the son of King Tribhuvan of Nepal and the grandson of King Prithvi Narayan Shah. Mahendra is considered one of the most influential kings in Nepal's history.
