Manuel Belgrano was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on June 3, 1770. He was a lawyer, politician, and military leader who played an important role in the Argentine War of Independence. Belgrano is considered one of the founding fathers of Argentina and is often referred to as the "Father of the Flag".
