Answer
Marcel Lefebvre was born in 1905 in Tourcoing, France. He was a French Roman Catholic archbishop and the founder of the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX), a traditionalist Catholic organization. Lefebvre rejected the liturgical reforms introduced by the Second Vatican Council and consecrated four bishops without papal permission, which led to his excommunication in 1988.
