Margot Wallström was the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden from 2014 to 2019. She was also a member of the Riksdag from 1995 to 2019. Wallström was born in Västerås, Sweden, in 1954. She studied law at the University of Uppsala and worked as a lawyer before entering politics. In 1995, she was elected to the Riksdag as a member of the Social Democratic Party.
