Archduchess Elisabeth Franziska was the mother of Maria Christina. Elisabeth Franziska was the daughter of Holy Roman Emperor Joseph I and his wife, Wilhelmina Amalia of Brunswick-Lüneburg. She was married to Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor, and they had four children, including Maria Christina. Maria Christina went on to become the wife of Albert of Saxony, Duke of Teschen, and they had three children.
