Answer
Maria May designed Silk Wall Tapestries for the LZ 129 Hindenburg airship. These tapestries were inspired by the paintings of German artist Max Slevogt and were hand-woven in a French factory. The tapestries were used to decorate the dining room of the Hindenburg and were a symbol of luxury and comfort.
