Answer
Ariadna Tsvetayeva was arrested on espionage charges in 1941 and died in prison in 1944. She was accused of sending letters to her husband, who was living in Nazi-occupied France, containing information about Soviet military installations. Her arrest and death caused a great deal of pain and suffering for Marina Tsvetayeva, who was already in a difficult situation due to her own political problems.
