Marion Davies was a chorus girl before becoming a film actress. She was born Marion Cecilia Douras on January 3, 1897, in Brooklyn, New York. She began her career as a chorus girl in the Ziegfeld Follies in 1916. In 1917, she made her film debut in the silent film "Runaway Romany". She went on to star in over 20 films during the 1920s and 1930s.
