Answer
Tottenham Hotspur was the first English club managed by Martin Jol. Jol, a Dutch former footballer, began his managerial career with RKC Waalwijk in 1998. In 2004, he joined Tottenham Hotspur as manager, leading the club to fifth place in the Premier League and the League Cup final in his first season. Jol remained in charge of Tottenham until October 2007, when he was replaced by Juande Ramos.
