Victoria Alexandra Alice Mary, better known as Queen Mary, was born on May 26, 1867. Her parents were the reigning Prince and Princess of Wales. She was the oldest of their six children. Victoria became Queen Consort of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions when her husband, King George V, ascended the throne in 1910.
