Member. D'Alembert was a member of the Chamber of Deputies, which was the lower house of the French Parliament during the July Monarchy. He was elected to the Chamber in 1830 and served until 1848. While in the Chamber, D'Alembert was a vocal critic of the government and advocated for liberal reforms.
